Which Trailer for Your Excavator?

Most mid-to-large excavators ride RGN/lowboy for drive-on loading and lower overall height. Compact and mini excavators often fit step deck or hotshot when width and height stay legal. Prep Before Pickup

Clean mud off tracks, park in a firm load-out spot, and fold the boom to travel position when the OEM allows. Secure loose pins and remove or lash the bucket if that cuts height. Mini Through Full-Size: Same Process, Different Specs

A 6,000 lb mini excavator and an 80,000 lb production machine both need accurate measurements, but the trailer, permits, and crew look different. Minis often move faster on step decks with fewer restrictions. Full-size units need RGN capacity, careful boom configuration, and sometimes multi-axle setups to spread weight. We do not force every excavator onto one trailer type—we match the iron you own.

Attachments travel with the machine when space and legality allow. Thumbs, grapples, and hydraulic breakers should be called out in the quote request so chains, cribbing, and deck length are right the first time.
